Temporarily residing outside the Republic of Kazakhstan
The purpose of registration of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad shall be:
- Protection of rights and legitimate interest of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Provision of timely assistance to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad in case of force majeure, natural disasters, military operations, etc;
- Full assistance in the use of all rights, granted by the legislation of the host state and international treaties to which the Republic of Kazakhstan and the host state are parties, as well as international customs by citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Types of consular registration
- Permanent consular registration – for persons who have left for permanent residence abroad and have issued a permit from the internal affairs bodies to leave for permanent residence;
- Temporary consular registration – for persons who have gone abroad for the purpose of temporary stay (study, work, business trip, treatment, tourist trip, etc.
