Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Indonesia Daniyar Sarekenov attends the Annual Indonesian Financial Services Industry Meeting

On January 16, 2020 the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Indonesia Mr. Daniyar Sarekenov took part in the Annual Indonesian Financial Services Industry Meeting in Jakarta. The event was attended by the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo, Chairman of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Wimboh Santoso, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, as well as the heads of the Central Bank and the Investment Coordinating Board of the Republic of Indonesia.

During his speech, Joko Widodo emphasized the need for liberalization of the business environment, for reforms of non-banking financial services, including insurance and pension provision fields. This year, the Government plans to amend 79 different laws in order to ease doing business.

The Chairman of the Financial Services Authority noted that in order to increase investors’ confidence, OJK will make efforts to ensure transparency in the capital market, in particular by regulating securities supervision, trading activities and securities valuation.
