Cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Indonesia
September 2-4, 2013 – the Indonesian Culture Days held in the framework of the President of the Republic of Indonesia S.B. Yudhoyono’s state visit to Astana.
May 12-14, 2014 – the Kazakhstan’s Culture Days held in Jakarta with a gala concert, photo exhibition, and screening «The Leader's way» and «Zhauzhurek Myn Bala» films.
December 21, 2013 – the meeting of leadership of the University named after D. Kunaev and the Gunadarma University.
March 8-12, 2015 – the visit by the delegation of the Gunadarma University to the University named after D. Kunayev and Women Pedagogical Institute.
From May 31 to June 2, 2016, an Indonesian delegation led by Z. Hasibuan, Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Higher Education in Informatics and Computing (APTIKOM) visited Almaty. The delegation included the rectors of the Indonesian universities of AMIKOM, Bima Darma University, Undalas University, STMIK Banjarbaru, STT Nusa Putra, YPTK Padang, Gunadarma University. As a result of negotiations at the Eurasian Law University named after D.A. Kunaev, between APTIKOM and 9 Kazakhstani universities a number of memorandums of cooperation were signed.
February 1-5, 2017 – the Kazakhstani fashion house Samidel’s participation in the Indonesian Fashion Week 2017.
From August 18 to September 2, 2018, the national team of Kazakhstan took part in the 18th Asian Summer Games in the cities of Jakarta and Palembang. As a result of the games, Kazakhstan ranked ninth in the overall standings with 15 gold, 17 silver and 44 bronze medals.
On October 6-13, 2018, 91 Kazakhstani sportsmen took part in the III Asian Para Games in Jakarta. Following the results of the games, Kazakhstan took the 13th team place with 5 gold, 15 silver and 13 bronze medals.
