The Consul General of Kazakhstan in Izmir visited the city of Afyonkarahisar

During the working visit of the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Izmir, Bauyrzhan Akatayev, to Afyonkarahisar on 14–16 November, meetings were held with Governor Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, Mayor Burcu Köksal, Provincial Police Chief Ahmet Bırtan, and the leadership of the local Chamber of Commerce.

Discussions focused on the conditions of Kazakh citizens living in the region, interaction with local authorities, and prospects for industrial cooperation — including manufacturing, logistics, and trade. Issues related to the education of Kazakh students and the safety of tourists choosing Afyonkarahisar for its thermal resorts and developed infrastructure were also addressed.

The parties reviewed opportunities for establishing direct contacts between relevant institutions and expanding practical cooperation.

The working visit contributed to strengthening engagement with Afyonkarahisar’s municipal and regional authorities. The parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue dialogue and develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
