We are pleased to present the 2nd edition of our book MODERN KAZAKHSTAN. The 1st edition, released in 2018, garnered successful recognition, which is why we decided to continue the series this year with a focus on Success Stories of German Investors in Kazakhstan.
At present 969 enterprises with German capital are currently conducting active business in Kazakhstan. 90 % of these companies have invested in our country’s manufacturing industry, as well as mechanical engineering, chemistry, raw material extraction, construction, transportation, infrastructure, IT, agriculture, farming and renewable energy.
Successful government measures to modernize and diversify the economy, a pending privatization of more than 700 state-owned companies, favorable investment climate, as well as its location in the middle of Eurasia and a wealth of natural resources have allowed Kazakhstan to offer German investors attractive business opportunities.
We are particularly pleased to hear that German business circles have been receptive to the December 2019 invitation of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to invest in Kazakhstan under special “tailor made” conditions.
This book shows the way to success in Kazakhstan as experienced by 13 German enterprises as investors.
