Consular registration

1. In accordance with article 25 of the Consular Charter of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 27, 1999 N 217, consular institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad shall register the following categories of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
2. a) permanently residing in the territory of the consular district;
3. b) temporarily staying in the territory of the consular district (who arrived on a business trip, study, internship, work under a contract, treatment or on private business).
4. The purpose of registration of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad is:

- protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan ; - providing timely assistance to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad in case of force majeure, natural disasters, military operations, etc.;

- full assistance to the use by citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan of all rights granted by the legislation of the host country and international treaties to which the Republic of Kazakhstan and the host state are parties, as well as international customs;

- monitoring compliance by citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and their performance of their duties.

3. When registering, a consular official must inform citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan about the rules and conditions of stay in the country and the need to comply with its laws.

Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who are temporarily in Romania (study, work, tourism, etc.) have the opportunity to register for consular registration online by filling out a registration card.
