April 30, 2025, Rio de Janeiro - During a working visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil to participate in a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the BRICS Member States and Partners, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin met with the President of the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) Julia Dias Leite.

During the conversation, an exchange of key issues on the international agenda and bilateral cooperation took place.

The Kazakh diplomat noted the high authority of CEBRI as a leading independent analytical center that actively contributes to the formation of Brazil's international agenda and the promotion of ideas for dialogue and international cooperation. The ambassador also acquainted the Brazilian side with the activities of similar research institutions in Kazakhstan, in particular, the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KISS) and the Institute of Foreign Policy Studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Considering the sustainable development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Brazil, as well as the existing potential for academic interaction, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing a partnership between specialized research centers of the two countries.
