Cooperation with the Brazilian Parliament is being strengthened

Brasilia, September 20, 2023 – at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil, a meeting was held between Ambassador Bolat Nussupov and Deputy of the National Congress of Brazil Duda Brito Ramos.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan introduced the interlocutor to the main aspects of the September Nation Address of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev «Economic course of a Just Kazakhstan» In this context, the parties discussed the possibilities of establishing trade, economic and investment cooperation with the states of Roraima and Amapa, which are represented by the Brazilian parliamentarian.

During the conversation, Bolat Nussupov also informed deputy Duda Brito Ramos about the upcoming visit of a delegation of Brazilian senators to Kazakhstan next week and the holding of the second meeting of parliamentary friendship groups in the upper chamber of the parliaments of the two countries in Astana. In this regard, the Ambassador proposed considering the possibility of holding the first meeting of friendship groups also at the level of the lower chamber.

At the end of the meeting, the Brazilian side invited the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to make visits to the states of Roraima and Amapa, and also proposed to organize a presentation of the economic and trade opportunities of Kazakhstan and the Brazilian regions.
