Briefing for the Brazilian media

Brasilia, June 13, 2023 – another press briefing for representatives of the Brazilian media was held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil. The agenda of the meeting included a discussion of the results of the Astana International Forum (AIF), which took place on June 8-9 this year in the capital of Kazakhstan.

In his speech, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov, speaking about the main achievements of the International Forum in Astana, noted that the concept of the Forum was developed to address four key global issues: foreign policy, security and sustainability, energy and climate, as well as economy and finance. It was emphasized that the AIF is a dialogue platform organized on the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the event, Cassiano Viana, President of the Brazil-Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spoke in detail about bilateral trade in recent years, presented the trade and transit potential of our country, as well as promising commodity groups of Kazakhstani products for export to the local market.

In turn, the Brazilian experts, noting that Kazakhstan, under the leadership of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has confidently embarked on a systemic transformation in the political and socio-economic modernization of Kazakhstan in a completely new environment, congratulated the Embassy on the successful holding of the Astana International Forum and wished our country success.

This year, Kazakhstan and Brazil celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
