Inter-parliamentary cooperation between Kazakhstan and Brazil is expanding

Brasilia, august 18, 2021 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federative Republic of Brazil Bolat Nussupov held a meeting with Senator of the National Congress – former President of  Brazil, member of the «Brazil-Kazakhstan» friendship group, Fernando Affonso Collor de Mello.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan acquainted the interlocutor with the main achievements of Kazakhstan over 30 years of independence and the reforms being carried out in the country, and noted that the development of inter-parliamentary dialogue is one of the priorities of political relations between the two countries. In this regard, the parties discussed the organization of a joint meeting of the friendship groups of the parliaments of the two countries, which is planned to be held this fall.

The parties also touched upon issues of trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and investment cooperation.

In turn, the Senator highly appreciated the reforms and achievements of Kazakhstan and expressed his readiness to implement joint projects in trade, economic, cultural, scientific and educational spheres.
