Today over 150 international treaties have been signed between the two states. Of these: 107 interstate and intergovernmental (the most significant of which are the Agreement on Eternal Friendship of April 8, 1997 and the Treaty of Allied Relations of December 25, 2003), interdepartmental - 53.
Following the results of the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Atamkulov to Kyrgyzstan on May 20, 2019, the following were signed:
- The cooperation program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2019-2020;
- Protocol between the Government of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic on areas of activity of border representatives.
Following the results of the official visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.U.Mamin to the Kyrgyz Republic on July 12, 2019, the following were signed:
- Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the Field of Agricultural Trade between Continental Agro Trade Limited Liability Partnership and Elet Agroholding Limited Liability Company;
- Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the Field of Agricultural Trade between the Continental Agro Trade Limited Liability Partnership and the Heitong Limited Liability Company;
- Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the Field of Agricultural Trade between the Continental Agro Trade Limited Liability Partnership and the Dordoi Bazary Limited Liability Company;
-Agreement on cooperation between, the AAEngineering group Limited Liability Partnership, the Kazakh Export Export Insurance Company Joint-Stock Company and the Global Jamgyr Mining Limited Liability Company;
- Memorandum of cooperation between the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund Joint-Stock Company and the Guarantee Fund Open Joint-Stock Company;
-A plan of action for bilateral economic cooperation and tax administration between the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Tax Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- Memorandum of cooperation in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the field of construction and design of roads between the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- The Protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the procedure for the stay of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic dated May 11, 2012;
-Protocol of the 8th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council.
In the frames of the first state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev to the Kyrgyz Republic on 27 November, 2019 a number of bilaterla documents were signed:
- Joint Declaration of the Heads of State of the Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz Republic;
- A comprehensive program of cooperation between the Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz Republic for 2020–2022;
- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on joint actions for the construction of a new bridge and the reconstruction of the existing bridge between the crossing points "Ak-Tilek-road" of the Kyrgyz Republic and "Karasu-road" of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on cooperation in the field of migration;
- Agreement between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic on the organization of reception, aerodrome-technical support and protection of military aircraft at military airfields of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Agreement between the the Committee for Financial Monitoring of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and State Service for Combating Economic Crimes under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on cooperation in the fight against economic and financial crimes
- Agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- Memorandum of mutual cooperation between the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of exchange of experience in conducting metrological supervision;
- Agreement between JSC NC KazakhInvest and the IPAI of the Kyrgyz Republic;
Following the results of the Fifth meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan, the following decisions were signed:
- On the further development of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz bilateral cooperation;
- About checkpoints on the Kazakh-Kyrgyz state border;
- On cooperation in the field of logistics;
- On cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
