Purpose of Consular Registration of Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abroad:
Protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Comprehensive assistance to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan in exercising all rights granted under the legislation of the host country, international treaties to which the Republic of Kazakhstan and the host country are parties, as well as international customs and practices.
Types of Consular Registration:
Permanent Consular Registration – for individuals who have moved abroad for permanent residence and have obtained permission from the internal affairs authorities of Kazakhstan to reside abroad;
Temporary Consular Registration – for individuals who have traveled abroad temporarily (for study, business trips, medical treatment, tourism, etc.).
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan can obtain this service electronically via the "e-Government" web portal
When applying electronically, the applicant must submit an application through the "e-Government" web portal at www.egov.kz.
For Permanent Consular Registration:
An identity document or an electronic document from the digital documents service (for identification);
Decision of the internal affairs authorities of Kazakhstan on the processing of documents for permanent residence abroad (for comparison);
Completed registration card.
For Temporary Consular Registration:
An identity document or an electronic document from the digital documents service (for identification);
Completed registration card.
Application in free form;
An identity document or an electronic document from the digital documents service (for identification);
Supplementary page to the citizen’s passport with a permanent consular registration stamp (if available).
