In commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh poet and enlightener Abay, as well as the 1150th anniversary of the world famous scientist Abu Nasr al-Farabi, the Abai and al-Farabi Сorner was opened in the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ethiopia.

In commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh poet and enlightener Abay, as well as the 1150th anniversary of the world famous scientist Abu Nasr al-Farabi, the Abai and al-Farabi Сorner was opened in the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ethiopia.

In order to promote the works of Abay, reflected in the article by the head of state K. Tokayev "Abai and Kazakhstan in the 21st century," the Embassy plans to

hold a seminar on the work and heritage of Abay and al-Farabi with the participation of representatives of official and academic circles of Ethiopia. A book and photo exhibition "The World of Abay" and a film screening about the life and work of Abay and al-Farabi will also be organized.

In February 2020 at the University of Addis Ababa the Embassy organized a performance by a creative group of employees of the diplomatic mission, who performed a song from Abay’s works in Kazakh.
