Mayor office of Ulan district

Ulan district is located in the central part of East Kazakhstan region, formed in 1928. The area of the district covers 9.630 km2.

The climate of the district is sharply continental, with a large amplitude of daily, seasonal and annual average air temperature fluctuations. The district is a unique area related to its nature and climat; it has steppe, desert, and mountain taiga landscapes.

The administrative center of the district is in Kassym Kaysenov settlement. It is located 10 kilometers from the regional center. The population totals 38.600 people, who live in 45 settlements located in 16 rural districts.
