Kazzinc is one of the leaders in non-ferrous metallurgy in Kazakhstan
An integrated zinc producer with a large share of co-production in copper, precious metals and lead. Founded in 1997. The enterprises are located in the East Kazakhstan, Akmola and Karaganda regions. The company employs 20 thousand people. One of the three largest benefactors of the country.
Development of metallurgy. The large-scale project "New Metallurgy" was implemented from 2006 to 2011. The largest in the history of the company, it included a global modernization of production and the introduction of innovative environmental technologies, as well as the construction of the Copper Plant, reconstruction of the Lead Plant, modernization of the Sulfuric Acid Department
Development of the mining sector. To improve the production chain, a number of projects have been implemented:
- The first digital mine in the country. In 2017, the innovative Pitram system was launched at the Maleevsky mine in the city of Altai, which allows managing the mine online.
- Expansion of the Altyntau-Kokshetau gold recovery plant. Over the past decade, the division has become the largest gold mining company in the republic. Advanced technologies make it possible to process 8 million tons of ore and produce about 13 tons of metal per year.
Zhairema Polymetals project. In 2021, a new polymetallic processing plant was launched in the Karaganda region. ZhGOK is expected to become the largest producer of zinc and lead concentrates in Kazakhstan. The plant's capacity will make it possible to process about 5 million tons of ore per year.
Implementation of the best available technologies to reduce air emissions. Over the years, it was possible to reduce sulfur dioxide emissions in Ust-Kamenogorsk from 70 thousand tons to 16. Over the years, about 100 billion tenge was allocated for environmental protection measures.
Support for Kazakhstani entrepreneurs. Kazzinc has been giving priority to Kazakhstani producers for over 20 years, providing them with orders. The company annually signs more than 10,000 contracts; over the past 5 years, about 5,000 domestic organizations, employing more than 275,000 employees, have become its partners.
Development of the social sphere. Kazzinc is in third place in the list of companies that provide significant funds for charity. Annually, about 12 billion tenge is allocated for the development of cities where the divisions are present - these funds are used to support health care, education, sports, infrastructure development and targeted assistance. The company has repeatedly received the prestigious Paryz prize from the country's leadership for its special contribution to the development of charity.
