«Kumbirle, Dombyra!»

«The ADK River» shopping center hosted a festive event called «Kumbirle, Dombyra!» dedicated to the National Dombyra Day. The event's goal was to promote national art, introduce young people to their native culture, and popularize the spiritual heritage of the Kazakh people.

Music performers and creative groups took part in the program. Guests of the event took part in quizzes and games dedicated to Kazakh musical art and kyui, and also assembled a dombra puzzle.

The visitors were especially interested in the exhibition, which presented dombras belonging to famous personalities from the museum-reserve's collection, as well as the scientific works of a prominent figure in Kazakh music, kyuishi, and composer Uatkhan Zhunusov. The exhibition's motto «A real Kazakh is not a Kazakh, a real Kazakh is a dombra!» became the leitmotif of the entire holiday.
