Festival «Century Traditions»

On March 6 and 7, 2025, the first Republican Festival of Carpet Weaving and Decorative and Applied Arts «Century Traditions» was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk as part of the development of creative industries, dedicated to International Women's Day and the Year of Working Professions.

The festival was attended by 27 people from 8 regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 2 cities of republican significance. The festival became a unique platform for getting acquainted with traditional weaving machines, spinning tools and ancient materials used by craftsmen. Unique carpets, felt products, tapestries and other examples of decorative and applied arts were presented to the attention of the audience.

The works of the festival participants were evaluated by leading experts in the field of folk art. The winners of the festival were awarded diplomas and cash prizes.

1st place - Anapiyaeva Gulnar Zhusupovna (Kyzylorda region)

2nd place - Gulnar Dautovna Kozhamzharova (East Kazakhstan region)

3rd place – Sarsembayeva Gulzira Belyalovna (Almaty city)
