"Kazak prozasyn kara nary":  Readers' conference

On March 14, the Pushkin Regional library hosted a reader's conference "Kazak prozasyn kara nary" on the story "Konyr kuz edi" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, novelist, playwright, screenwriter, native of Katon-Karagai district Kalikhan Iskakov.

The event was attended by students of Lyceum No. 44 named after Oralkhan Bokey, secondary schools No. 47 and No. 27 of our city.

Kalikhan Iskakov was born on March 14, 1935 in the village of Topkain in the Katon-Karagai district of the East Kazakhstan region. In 1957 he graduated from the philological faculty of Kirov State University, worked in the newspapers Leninshil Zhas, Kazak Adebieti. His childhood coincided with the tragic period of the Great Patriotic War, with the difficult post-war years. Main works: "Konyr kuz edi", "Menin agalarym", "Bukyrma saryny", "Tuyyk", "Kara orman", "Aksu-zher zhannaty", "Kuranse", "Beu, askak dunye", "Zhan kimak", "Indian summer", "High Cedars" and others. Some dramatic works ("Apa-apatai", "Zhake-zhaketai", "Tany zhangyryk", "Zhansebil", "Yerliktin yeki sagaty", "Buyryk kushinde kalady", "Daladagy yeke", "Kurbandyk", "Zirat", "Sabotage", "Kempir izdep zhurmiz" , "Yesenai-Ulpan", "Kazakhtar" and others) they were staged in regional theaters. A number of works have been translated into foreign languages.

The autobiographical work "Konyr kuz edi" tells about life in the post-war period, about the pupils of a boarding school in the village of Topkain. When the boy Kasym was in the seventh grade, his mother died, he was left an orphan and he was sent to boarding school. The author pays special attention to the description of the psychological portrait of the character, rather than its external form. From the stories about the most interesting moments that happened to the boarding school students, about Kasym's friendship with Kydyrkhan, we are convinced that the writer is a true master of the artistic word.

As part of the conference, a book exhibition about the writer's life and work was organized, and students discussed his work "Konyr kuz edi". A comprehensive literary discussion was held on the above-mentioned story in the following sections: "Theme and idea", "Characters", "Social and social problems", "Structure and style of the work", "Philosophical problems in the work" and "Influence and meaning of the work".

Following the results of the conference, students who distinguished themselves by critical thinking, exceptional abilities, rational and quick thinking were awarded certificates in the nominations "Bolashak adebiettanushi", "Uzdik okyrman", "Parasatty okyrman", "Oily okyrman", "Izdenimpaz okyrman".
