On December 20, a gala concert was held in the EKR Philharmonic Hall to summarize the days of culture of the districts and cities of East Kazakhstan as part of the regional project «Tugan Zher – Altyn Besigim». The EKR Museum-Reserve prepared the exhibition «Syrmak. Tekemet. Alasha», which demonstrated more than 70 products of East Kazakhstan craftsmen of the mid-20th - early 21st centuries and weaving looms of different nations. Master classes in weaving and sewing were organized. Craftsmen from the Katon-Karagay, Tarbagatai, Glubokoe, Shemonaykhinsky districts, the city of Zaysan, as well as items from the museum-reserve's collection presented their products. The art of carpet weaving reflects the diversity of national ornaments, the richness of the colors of the Kazakh steppe and the rhythm of nomadic life.
