
On the eve of Independence Day, on December 13, students of the 8th grade of school No. 16 came to the Ridder Museum of Local History for a class hour "When the people raise their voices" dedicated to the 38th anniversary of "Zheltoksan" - the events that took place in Alma – Ata on December 16-18, 1986. The participants of the event learned about the causes of the December events, about the youth unrest that led to the approach of independence of Kazakhstan, watched the documentary chronicle. The memories of eyewitnesses and participants of the Ridder rally were voiced: Bazhigalieva Zh.S. and Tezekpaeva A. A. honored the memory of those people who died in those cold December days with a minute of silence.
