Tasks of the municipal state institution "Department of Road Traffic Organization and Passenger Transport of the City of Almaty":

• development of transport infrastructure;

• improvement of the quality of passenger service;

• increasing the level of road traffic safety;

• development of suburban public transport connections;

• development of alternative modes of transport (carsharing, taxi, bicycle transport and others);

• creation of bicycle lanes by changing road traffic organization schemes;

• development of the system of paid parking spaces.
