Nurmukhambetov Gauez Torsanovich was born on July 11, 1968 in the village of Maysky, Karasu district, Kostanay region.
In 1992 he graduated from the Tselinograd Agricultural Institute with a degree in "Scientist agronomist", in 2002 – Chelyabinsk State University with a degree in "lawyer", in 2008 – Kostanay University of Engineering and Economics with a degree in "Bachelor of Economics". Candidate of Economic Sciences.
He began his career in 1985 as a mechanic of the brigade No. 1 of the state farm "Magnaysky" of the Komsomolsky district of the Kostanay region.
From 1992 to 1994 – Chief agronomist of the Williams State farm of the Oktyabrsky district of the Turgay region.
From 1994 to 1996, he was the chief agronomist of the Moskovsky state farm in the Kustanai district of the Kustanai region.
From 1996 to 1997 – Executive Director of KP "Boskolskoe" Komsomolsky district of the Kostanay region.
From 1997 to 2002 – Akim of Taranovsky district of Kostanay region.
From 2002 to 2008 – Akim of the Karabalyk district of Kostanay region.
From 2008 to 2009 – Akim of the city of Kostanay, Kostanay region.
From 2009 to 2011 – Deputy Director of PTK Sodruzhestvo LLP.
From 2011 to 2012 – Akim of Auliekolsky district of Kostanay region.

From 2015 to 2023 – First Deputy Akim of Kostanay region.
From January to September 2023 – Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On September 23, 2023, he was appointed akim of the North Kazakhstan region.
