On accreditation of foreign journalists for the early elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament and maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Dear foreign media representatives,

Please be informed that the accreditation for representatives of foreign mass media wishing to cover the early elections of the deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan, that will be held on March 19, 2023, is open now.

The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan wishes to note that foreign journalists may cover the elections in Kazakhstan only with a permanent or temporary accreditation issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Please be advised that representatives of foreign mass media may be accompanied by one interpreter upon presentation of the identity card.

The applications for accreditation of foreign journalists must be submitted no later than March 13, 2023 at 06.00 pm by Astana time.

Documents required for accreditation:

- cover letter from an editor-in-chief requesting accreditation for journalist;

- copy of a valid passport of journalist;

- completed application and accreditation form;

- 3x4 cm digital photo;

- brief biography of journalist;

- brief information about the media.
