From June 8, 2022, the Republic of Kazakhstan canceled mandatory requirement on provision of a passport/vaccination certificate against coronavirus infection and a negative PCR test result while entering Kazakhstan.
- Applications can be made personally.
- original passport and its photocopy.
- an invitation (when applying for a visa at a foreign institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the number, date of the invitation registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (the number and date of issue of the invitation to the visa recipient is reported by the inviting party), or the request of the recipient of the visa category).
- one 3x4 colored or black and white photo (to be attached to the application form) 申請用紙（Visa application）

- There is no visa issuance fee for Japanese citizens. For other citizens, please contact the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Visa expenses – please transfer the consular fee to the bank account of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Japan at the rate indicated in the following link in Japanese yen https://www.bk.mufg.jp/ippan/kinri/list_j/kinri/kawase.html.
However, Japanese citizens are exempted from the fees mentioned above.
