In 2020, the "Al-Farabi Center" was officially opened in Japan. The event marked the milestone of the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of the scientist and philosopher Abu Nasr Al-Farabi.
In 2021, a photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence was held at the major Japanese library and museum Toyo Bunko.
In 2022, a concert of Kazakh national music entitled “The Silk Road — a Bridge of Culture and Friendship” was held at the concert hall of the Akasaka Kumin Center in Tokyo, marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Japan.
In 2022, a joint concert took place at the Tamashin RISURU Hall, featuring artists from the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, the Astana Opera State Opera and Ballet Theatre, and Japan’s Sophia Ballet Academy.
On 2024, as part of the 21st international exhibition “Art Without Borders”, works by children from Central Asian countries were showcased at the National Art Center in Tokyo.
In 2025, within the framework of the World Expo EXPO 2025 in Osaka, the National Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was celebrated, dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great poet Abai Kunanbayev.
In 2025, the Days of Kazakh Cinema were held in Tokyo, during which the films “Kazakh Khanate”, “Dawn of the Great Steppe”, and “Dos-Mukasan” were screened.
