November 23, 1992 - diplomatic relations were established between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In 1993, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Uzbekistan was opened.
Since October 2022, Atamkulov Beibut has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
