⚜️ Happy Abai Day - August 10!

Congratulations of Mrs. Ilze Garda, Coordinator of the Kazakhstan Information Centre "Abai" at the Academic Library of the University of Latvia, on Abai Day, addressed to all Kazakhstanis:

- Dear ladies and gentlemen! Guests from Kazakhstan and all over the world! Greetings from Latvia! We, Kazakhstan Information Centre "Abai" represented by the Academic Library of the University of Latvia, within the framework of the #AbayChallenge challenge, held in honour of the celebration of "Abai Day", are pleased to pronounce in Latvian the 31st word of the Kazakh poet and founder of Kazakh written literature Abai Kunanbayev, which he left for the edification of future generations.

Abai Kunanbayev's Thirty-first Word of Edification

In order to memorise the advice and follow it, four conditions must be observed. The first is to be strong, so as not to give free rein to one's ego; the second is to take intelligent words with the heart, with the whole soul, as if one were quenching one's thirst with them; the third is to repeat what one has heard several times in order to fix it in one's memory; the fourth is to stay away from things that wear out the human mind and make it lose its accumulated knowledge.

By the way, there are four things that wear out the mind and make it lose its accumulated knowledge. They are carelessness, intransigence, thoughtlessness and despondency or addictions.
