ATTENTION
The documents for legalization should be submitted in person only.
Before applying for legalization of the document to the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ottawa, it is necessary to certify the document at the Authentication Services Section (JLAC) of Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa or at the Provincial and territorial authentication services.
Documents to be legalized must be translated into Kazakh or Russian language and notarized or certified by a translator and stitched to the legalized document.
LIST OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
To legalize documents at the Embassy, you must provide the following documents:
1) Cover letter (written on behalf of the person who owns the document for legalization, or his legal representative);
2) copy of passport;
3) document to be legalized and its copy;
4) consular fee - Money orders for the amount of 35 US dollars (for 1 document) payable to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Canada;
5) if documents are submitted by a representative or authorized person then a notarized authorization/consent letter and copy of the passport of the authorized person should be provided.
1) Cover letter (letter of intent) in an arbitrary form with a brief description of the document (s) to be legalized and purpose of legalization ( must be on an official letterhead of the company and contain full name of the company, address, phone number, date and original signature of director or head of the company - the person with the authority to sign);
2) copy of passport of the person signing the cover letter;
3) copy of the constituent document of the legal entity (document confirming the existence of the company - e.g. Certificate of Registration with the list of directors. The signing person should be on the list);
4) if documents are submitted by a representative or authorized person then a notarized authorization/consent letter and copy of the passport of the authorized person should be provided.
