1988-1989 – Researcher at the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan;

1989-1991 – Head Editor of the Translation Department of the Main Editorial Board at the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan;

1991-1992 – Referent of the Department of International Relations of the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan;

1992-1994 – Second Secretary, First Secretary, Head of Section of America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

1994-1996 – First Secretary, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the USA;

1996-1997 – Head of Division, Deputy Director of the European States Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

1997-1998 – Deputy Director of the Third Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2020-2022 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Slovenia (2022);

2022-2024 – First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

Since May 2024 – Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations

He holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

He was awarded the orders "Qurmet" and "Parasat".

He is married with four children.
