Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Türkiye were established on 2 March 1992. The Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul was opened in 1995. Since 10 July 2023, the Consul General of the Republic of Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul is N. Amankul.

The consular district of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul includes 15 provinces of the Republic of Türkiye:

Main tasks of the Consulate General:

-Protection of rights and interests of citizens and legal entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Türkiye and implementation of consular functions;

- providing consular and legal consultations to the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and rendering appropriate assistance within the framework of the current legislation, rendering consular and state services on passport and visa issues (registration of documents of the State Registration Service and passports, residence permits abroad, registration of withdrawal/loss of citizenship of the Republic of Republic of Kazakhstan, requesting documents, rendering notarial services, consular registration of citizens, etc.);

- ensuring the development of cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Türkiye, assisting state bodies, public organisations and representatives of business circles of Republic of Kazakhstan in establishing contacts and developing relations with Turkish partners;

- promoting attraction of Turkish investments and innovative technologies in priority sectors of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as promotion of export-oriented products of domestic enterprises in the territory of the Republic of Türkiye;

- strengthening of interaction with the Kazakh diaspora in Republic of Türkiye in necessary directions;

-interaction and coordination of Kazakh students studying in the Republic of Türkiye;

-co-operation in cultural and humanitarian, educational, medical and other spheres;

- fulfilment of other functions related to the main activities of the Consulate General
