The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Kyzylorda region invites you to take part in the first selection of 3 model agroforestry plots

Request for expressions of interest to participate in the first selection of 3 model agroforestry plots on an area of 15 hectares, 5 hectares each around the city of Kyzylorda within the framework of the WB-GEF-7 Project on landscape restoration in the Republic of Kazakhstan

Within the framework of the WB-GEF-7 project on landscape restoration in Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Project), procedures for selecting sites for agroforestry in the Kyzylorda region have begun. Financing of agroforestry will be provided by the World Bank in the form of grants.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Kyzylorda region invites individuals and legal entities, forest users, land users, farmers and peasant farms to participate in the first selection of 3 model agroforestry plots on an area of 15 hectares, 5 hectares each around the city of Kyzylorda within the framework of the WB-GEF-7 Project on landscape restoration in the Republic of Kazakhstan, funded by the World Bank.

The main selection criteria are:

1) Availability of a forest management agreement or title documents for land plots for afforestation and gardening;

2) The location of the site, that is, the location of the site near water sources, settlements, the availability of access roads, electricity, terrain and soil;

3) Absence of sensitive and valuable ecosystems and "critical" habitats of endangered rare and endemic species;

4) Compliance with the requirements of the List of Unacceptable Activities for agroforestry subprojects.

The first selection of 3 model agroforestry plots on an area of 15 hectares, 5 hectares around the city of Kyzylorda will be carried out by a Commission, which will include representatives of state and public organizations.

Interested individuals and legal entities, forest users, land users, farmers and peasant farms must submit their applications in the prescribed form with the attachment of documents confirming information on the above criteria (a copy of the applicant's identity card, a power of attorney from a representative of a legal or natural person, a forest use agreement or title documents for a land plot for afforestation and gardening, a document on registration of individuals and legal entities, description of the plot in any form) to the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Kyzylorda region at the address: Kyzylorda, Sultan Beybarys Street, No. 1 until January 17, 2022. All documents must be laced, numbered and submitted on purpose or by mail.
