Historical and cultural monuments
In the region, 554 objects of historical and cultural heritage have been taken under state protection, of which 30 are of national, 256 are of local significance, and 268 are included in the preliminary list of historical and cultural heritage objects.
In particular, in the Aral region-70, kazali district -99, karmakshi district -85, Zhalagash district-69, Syrdarya district-58, Kyzylorda city-80, Shieli district-49, Zhanakorgan district-44.
The third volume of the encyclopedia "Sacred Kazakhstan", released as part of the second stage of the project "Sacred geography of Kazakhstan", includes 88 objects of the region, including 12 national monuments, 60 monuments of regional significance of sacred objects and 16 places of interest.
A special website (virtualmap.xyz) of the interactive map of historical and cultural heritage sites of the Kyzylorda region in 3-D format is available for Internet users, which covers 150 monuments of national and local significance, as well as 150 monuments with mobile access have QR codes installed.
2020 planned archaeological excavations at 6 monuments, this is the ancient city Syganak, Zhankent, Baisala, Sortobe, Kaskala, Asanas.
To date, protection zones have been defined on 53 monuments, 3 objects have been completely fenced: Korkyt ATA complex, Syganak and Zhankent settlements.
