Deputy Head of the Department of Internal State Audit of the West Kazakhstan region Meirbek Kulekeshev held a seminar-meeting at the state-owned public enterprise at the Burlinskaya District Hospital on the topic: "Countering and preventing corruption. Standards of Conduct for Government Auditors."
The event was attended by state auditors of the Department and employees of the district hospital.
In his speech, the Deputy Head of the Department spoke about the tasks facing civil servants in the framework of the Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, stressing the importance of taking measures to exclude corruption in their activities.
He also noted that when conducting audit activities at the objects of control, state auditors must strictly follow the "Rules of professional ethics of state auditors," the purpose of which is to establish ethical standards and standards of conduct for state auditors and ensure their full compliance.
During the seminar, the participants discussed a number of issues related to amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Public Procurement." Particular attention was paid to the new provisions of the law regarding the revision of the grounds for recognizing public procurement as invalid in order to simplify procedures and minimize corruption risks.
The seminar participants emphasized that the fight against corruption is an integral responsibility of the whole society.
At the end of the event, a survey was conducted among the employees of the district hospital on compliance with the Code and anti-corruption legislation.
