The building was built in 1913. It belonged to the merchant Kargin. The second version is the former home of the merchant Bakirov.
On the 1st floor there were stores with storage facilities. On the 2nd floor there were living rooms.
The building was repeatedly completed and rebuilt.
The original appearance of the monument has not been preserved as a result of numerous alterations.
