Current Issues of Personal Bankruptcy Discussed in Almaty

     On September 3, 2026, a meeting was held in Almaty between representatives of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and representatives of microfinance organizations, debt collection agencies, and territorial state revenue authorities.

     The participants discussed issues related to cooperation between creditors and participants in bankruptcy proceedings, the timely and accurate provision of information by financial organizations on borrowers’ payments, monitoring the financial condition of citizens after they have been declared bankrupt, as well as compliance with the established deadlines for submitting creditors’ claims.

     The meeting also addressed further digitalization of judicial bankruptcy and solvency restoration procedures.

      Following the meeting, the participants exchanged proposals aimed at addressing practical issues and further improving cooperation among participants in bankruptcy proceedings.
