
Astana, On March 10, 2026, the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee met with representatives of the World Bank at the State Duma of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the meeting, they discussed joint work on the technical assistance program that the World Bank is implementing for Kazakhstan. This program helps to improve the tax system and increase the efficiency of tax collection. The parties discussed the tasks of the cooperation, what results are planned to be achieved and in which areas the work will continue. It was also discussed what kind of expert support the World Bank specialists can provide.
Separately, the participants of the meeting reviewed the international experience of tax administration. It was about the practices of other countries that may be useful for the further development and modernization of the tax system of Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in continuing cooperation. Representatives of the World Bank noted that Kazakhstan has made significant progress in the development of tax administration and the introduction of modern digital solutions in recent years.
Work under the technical assistance program will continue. It is aimed at further developing the tax system and implementing the best international practices.
