Permanent Representation of Kazakhstan to ICAO

By Resolution No. 1503-XII of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dated July 2, 1992, the Republic of Kazakhstan ratified the Convention on International Civil Aviation (the Chicago Convention, dated December 7, 1944).

On March 25, 2024, Presidential Decree No. 501 established the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ICAO in Montreal, Canada.

On May 16, 2024, by Presidential Decree No. 552, Timur Kaldybayevich Tlegenov was appointed Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ICAO.

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan contributes to enhancing the country’s authority and role in the international aviation community. It actively participates in strengthening Kazakhstan’s cooperation with ICAO and its integral structures, ensuring compliance with ICAO standards and recommendations in matters of flight safety, aviation security, environmental protection, air navigation, and facilitating the participation of Kazakhstani experts and specialists in specialized technical events, among other activities.
