
Systematic work is being carried out in the region to develop physical culture and sports.
The main task in this direction is to fulfill the indicators of target indicators:
- the average provision of the population with sports infrastructure per 1000 people on average in the region is 62.5%, the plan for 2022 is 65%;
- the coverage of citizens involved in physical culture and sports in the region in 2021 amounted to 33.28% or 456,839 people (plan for 2022 is 37.11%, the republican figure is 31.6%);
- the share of the population with special needs systematically engaged in physical culture and sports, from among persons with disabilities who have no contraindications to physical culture and sports in 2021 amounted to 11.4%, the plan for 2022 - 11.5%
- coverage of youth in sports (14-18 years old) in 2021 amounted to 69,806 people, the plan for 2022 is 71,931 people
In this direction, there are 1,402 organizations of physical culture and sports in the region, whose activities cover more than 456 thousand people.
In order to ensure the leisure of schoolchildren and adolescents, there are:
- 46 sports organizations with a coverage of 32,896 people, including 2 schools of higher sportsmanship, the Olympic Reserve Training Center, a boarding school-college named after. A. Moldagulova (515 students in 15 sports);
- 22 children's and youth clubs for physical training, covering 4,922 people;
- 105 children's and teenage clubs with a contingent of 12,799 children;
- 4,358 sports sections in general education schools, covering 82,298 children;
- 431 sections in colleges covering 16,441 students.
For 2022, sports financing amounted to 16.6 billion tenge, in 2021 - 14.6 billion tenge. Compared to last year's updated budget, the increase was 2 billion tenge .
One of the main areas of work is the training of a sports reserve and high-class athletes.
73 accredited federations operate in the region, 100 sports are cultivated, of which 44 are Olympic sports, 56 are non-Olympic.
At the end of 2021, 1,471 athletes of the region entered the National Team of the Republic of Kazakhstan (in 2021 - 1328).
According to the results of participation in competitions, athletes won 3,400 medals (in 2021 - 7,641), of which 1,110 gold (in 2021 - 2,489).
The issue of training coaching staff has been resolved (1,152 coaches-teachers (791 full-time) in 73 sports) on the basis of the boarding school. A. Moldagulova opened a college in 2019, which annually trains 30 sports specialists, 10 grants for athletes from the regional budget are allocated in the universities of the region.
163 athletes and 95 coaches in 30 sports receive monthly financial support, the annual amount of funding is more than four hundred million tenge .
4 billion 007 million tenge was allocated for the development of mass sports this year.
There are 7,404 sports clubs with coverage of 456,839 people. Over the past 2 years, 592 additional sections have been opened, covering 37,181 people.
Today, 349 sports instructors work in cities and districts of the region, 101 of them in rural areas.
In 2022, 42 units of instructors were allocated, for 2023 the actual need will remain - 43 units (average salary - 75 thousand tenge ).
As part of the promotion of a healthy lifestyle in the region, over 9 thousand sports events are held annually, in which more than 500 thousand people take part.
National sports are successfully developing in the region, 10 sports are being cultivated (togyzkumalak, sayat, baige, zhekpe-zhek, kazak kuresi, asyk atu, tenge ilu, audaryspak, kokpar, zhamby atu), 45,311 people are engaged (in 2020 - 42 145 people). The National Team of the Republic of Kazakhstan includes 18 athletes.
Also this year, 10 rates of kokpar coaches have been allocated.
67,372 people with disabilities live in the region, of which 4,086 people go in for sports, which is 6.06%.
In Karaganda, there is a specialized sports school for wheelchair sports with a coverage of 450 people in 16 sports, which does not have its own adapted base. In total, 31 sports are cultivated in the region. The National Team of the Republic of Kazakhstan includes 92 athletes.
In order to implement measures to expand the availability of sports facilities for mass employment of the population, the sports infrastructure is successfully developing in the region. There are 3,280 sports facilities, of which 1,267 units are in rural areas. Sports facilities in the region function as intended.
In 2021, more than 5 billion tenge was allocated for the construction and repair of sports facilities.
At the expense of the regional budget , the following were put into operation:
- sports and recreation complex for 100 people in the village of Karsakpay Ulytau _ district (529.9 million tenge );
- SC at the expense of the Fund for the Development of Social Projects "Samruk-Kazyna Trust" (245.6 million tenge) in the village. Nura Nura district, - at the expense of "IP Baishulakova T.S." put into operation a sports complex with 5 sports halls (896 million tenge );
- at the expense of "IP Boyko A.T." indoor football arena (138 million tenge) in the city of Saran;
- at the expense of IP Nefedov V.A. SC in the Prishakhtinsk microdistrict of Karaganda.
65 sports grounds with artificial turf, 11 multifunctional hockey courts and 23 street workout grounds have been installed.
Repair work was carried out in 11 sports facilities for a total of 456.2 million tenge.
