PRESS RELEASE on the draft Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments to the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 4, 2012 No. 1546 "On Approval of the Rules for Monitoring the Effectiveness of State Property Management, Including State-Owned Enterprises and Legal Entities with State Participation"

The draft Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments to Resolution No. 1546 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 4, 2012, 'On Approval of the Rules for Monitoring the Effectiveness of State Property Management, Including State-Owned Enterprises and Legal Entities with State Participation'" (hereinafter referred to as the Draft) was developed in accordance with Part 3 of Clause 5 of Article 25 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Legal Acts" and Clause 26 of the Action Plan for the Implementation of Recommendations Given During the Comprehensive Audit of the State Property and Privatization Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.K. Zhamaubayev on October 27, 2023.

Adoption of the draft will update and align it with the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Legal Acts" and the implementation of recommendations made during the comprehensive audit of the activities of the State Property and Privatization Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in terms of expanding the annual coverage of monitoring objects to 100% and eliminating the current criteria for determining the list of monitoring objects.

The public discussion period for the draft is until January 27, 2025.
