The main issues of state social policy are: overcoming dependency, solving problems of poverty, involving the self-employed, low-income and unemployed people in productive economic employment.
To date, the situation in the district regarding employment and improving the quality of life of the population is as follows:
-economically active population is 31,635 people or 52.4% of the total population of the district (60,356 people);
- 30813 people are employed in various fields of activity;
Since the beginning of the year, 1507 people have applied to employment agencies for assistance in finding a job.

The official unemployment rate is 2.1%.
According to applications from citizens, 76 families received housing assistance for payment of utilities in the amount of 757.2 thousand tenge.
Material assistance to one of the parents raising and teaching disabled children at home was paid to 29 children in the amount of 1025.8 thousand tenge.
As of September 17, 2020, targeted social assistance was paid to 117 families to 594 people in the amount of 29,612.9 thousand tenge.
By the holiday dates - 43 Afghans were paid 2,150.0 thousand tenge, 1 family of the killed and deceased participants of Afghans was paid 50.0 thousand tenge,
Material assistance to 546 cancer patients was paid in the amount of 22,086.2 thousand tenge, 68 TB patients were paid 3,490.3 thousand tenge, 51 persons registered with the probation service and those released from prison were paid 23547.7 thousand tenge, 13 persons taking the drug 695.7 thousand tenge were paid for hemodialysis, 7 families were provided to victims of the fire in the amount of 965.9 thousand tenge.
For the provision of social assistance to certain categories of citizens for the Victory Day, 22,320.0 thousand tenge were allocated for 656 people, 1150.0 thousand tenge were paid to 23 participants and disabled people in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, 10 families of victims and deceased participants of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant were paid, 500 , 0 thousand tenge, 2 evacuated from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the amount of 100.0 thousand tenge, 14 invalids due to nuclear tests at the nuclear test site by the day of the closure of the Semipalatinsk test site were paid 700.0 thousand tenge.
In order to regulate the legal, economic and organizational conditions for ensuring social protection of disabled people, creating equal opportunities for life and integration in society, within 8 months of 2020, 76 disabled people were provided with the services of an individual assistant, 10 disabled people with a sign language specialist, 18 people with prosthetic and orthopedic assistance , 62 people with compulsory hygienic means, 38 people - with deaf-typhlo-hygienic means, 2 people in wheelchairs, 9 people with spa treatment.
As part of the employment department, there are three social assistance departments that provide special social services in the context of home care for lonely pensioners and disabled people, as well as disabled children and people over 18 years of age with neuropsychiatric diseases.
Since the beginning of 2020, 505 people have been covered, including 25 disabled children and disabled people over 18 years of age with psycho-neurological diseases; 480 elderly and disabled people, NGOs - 10 people.
The Department of Employment and Social Programs has 101 social workers providing special social services in a home care setting.
