
The delegation of the Agency for Regulation and Development of Financial Market (hereinafter – the Agency) headed by the Deputy Chairman Mr. Olzhas Kizatov took part in the regular meeting of the Consultative Council on Currency Policy of Central (National) Banks of the EAEU Member States. The meeting was held in Yerevan, Armenia.
The meeting was attended by representatives of central banks and financial regulators of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan.
The participants of the meeting discussed the current economic situation, dynamics and factors of inflation formation and development of economic activity in the EAEU countries, as well as exchanged views on the use of the mechanism of minimum reserve requirements, including the peculiarities of their application in different countries.
Members of the consultative council also considered the development of the real estate market and mortgage lending trends, noting its impact on financial stability.

The next 28th meeting of the Currency Policy Advisory Council of the central (national) banks of the EAEU member states will be held in Bishkek in the first half of 2025.
The Consultative Council is a consultative and advisory body of the central (national) banks of the Eurasian Economic Union member states, the main purpose of which is to coordinate currency policy, including the development of common approaches and directions to ensure the increased use of national currencies in mutual settlements.
