Social support for elderly (retired) citizens is expressed in their involvement in the cultural life of the society, adjoining physical culture and sports, as well as exciting and volunteer activities.
For that, Active Longevity Centers were opened in the country.
How and where the retired can spend their leisure time and what options are available for them in the “Active Longevity Centers”?

Addresses of Longevity Centers in Almaty city:
The centers opening hours are from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. To register at the Longevity Centers, those wishing to do so must have a residence permit in Almaty and have an identity card or pension card with them.
The Center of active longevity in Astana:
The centers are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. To register at the Longevity Center, those wishing to do so must have a residence permit in Astana and bring an identity card, a pensioner's certificate, or, if disabled, an identification document.
The main objective of the “Active Longevity Center” is the building and development of motivation of the elderly to extend their active lifestyle, as well as organization of free time and cultural leisure for the elderly.
In the active longevity centers the one can take free classes in yoga, Nordic walking, vocals, painting, aikune, qigong, tai chi, kinesiology, computer literacy, chess, togyz kumalak, dancing (oriental, folk), tennis, arts and crafts, agro-crowdsourcing, individual consultations with a psychologist and lawyer, memory strengthening, etc.
The Active longevity Centers cooperate with universities, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Al-Farabi KazNU and MPI “Active Longevity Center in Almaty city” to provide access to high-quality socio-psychological courses and get acquainted with new educational programs developed by gerontology and geriatrics specialists to improve the elderly quality of life.
Today there are 13 active longevity centers in Almaty city.
Today there are already 52 similar institutions throughout the country.
