THE HEAD OF STATE RECEIVED THE CHAIRMAN OF THE AGENCY FOR THE PROTECTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF COMPETITION MARAT OMAROV

The President heard a report on the Agency's performance of control functions, including joint work with law enforcement agencies on the demonopolization of the economy.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev was informed about the work carried out as part of the antimonopoly response measures. The share of fulfilled prescriptions reached 90.3%.

Marat Omarov spoke about the plans of the Competition Development Agency for 2024.

According to the chairman of the Agency, to date, an information and analytical system has been developed and launched to analyze the state of competition, public services have been digitized, an information system is being developed - the APDC database, artificial intelligence elements will be introduced to identify cartel collusion.

Following the meeting, the President gave a number of instructions to Marat Omarov related to the development of competition in key sectors of the economy, investigations conducted by the department, as well as approaches to the protection and development of small and medium-sized businesses.
