DRAFT DECREE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN ON EXPANDING THE FUNCTIONS OF THE APDC HAS BEEN PUBLISHED

The draft decree of the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan was developed for the implementation of the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Business".

The project provides for the expansion of the functions of the agency for protection and development of competition in terms of analysis of regulatory legal acts that may entail restriction or elimination of competition, development and approval of rules for the formation of a list of state-owned enterprises, types of activities carried out by persons whose shares (shares of participation in the authorized capital) belong to the state and are affiliated with them, as well as approval of rules for analysis and monitoring the activities of conglomerates.

These changes are aimed at improving the functioning of commodity markets and developing competition, suppressing anti-competitive acts, actions (inaction) of state and local executive bodies.
