PUBLIC DISCUSSION OF THE DRAFT LAW "ON AMENDMENTS AND ADDITIONS TO SOME LEGISLATIVE ACTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN ON COMPETITION ISSUES"

The Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan notifies about the placement of the draft Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on competition issues" on the portal "Open NPAs".

The purpose of the draft Law is the demonopolization of commodity markets and the reduction of state participation in entrepreneurship.

For this purpose, the draft Law provides for the main directions:

1) improving the effectiveness of antimonopoly regulation;

2) reducing the burden on the business;

3) the introduction of the institution of class action lawsuits;

4) the development of competition in key commodity markets.
