PUBLIC DISCUSSION OF THE RESULTS OF THE REGULATORY IMPACT ANALYSIS ON ECONOMIC CONCENTRATION ISSUES

As part of the amendments to the business code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the agency for the protection and development of competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the agency) conducted an analysis of the regulatory impact.

The forecast changes affect the following issues in the field of regulation of economic concentration: 1) reducing the threshold for approving transactions for economic concentration; 2) introducing a new type of economic concentration; and 3) establishing the need for foreign market entities to submit an opinion of the sectoral state body and the authorized body in the field of national security when concluding transactions for economic concentration.

In this regard, the agency informs that a public discussion on the above-mentioned issues of economic concentration will be held on November 7, 2023 at 15:00 in accordance with paragraph 20 of the rules for conducting and using regulatory impact and (or) requirements of regulatory instruments approved by order of the Minister of national economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 30, 2015 No. 748.
