The total length of highways in the Zhetysu region is 3 988 km (1,034 km of national significance, 2,954 km of local significance).
In total, 198 km of roads are planned to be repaired this year.
Funds totaling 19.1 billion tenge were allocated for the implementation of the project (from the NF – 3.1 billion tenge; from the SOFI – 2.3 billion tenge; from the MB – 13.7 billion tenge).

For the construction and reconstruction of 10 km of the highway – 8.7 billion tenge;
For the overhaul of 6 bridges – 0.7 billion tenge;
For the average repair of 152.1 km of the automobile road – 6.5 billion tenge;
For current repairs, maintenance and repair of 35.9 km – 3.1 billion tenge.
According to the final situation in 2023, the disbursement of funds amounts to 19.1 billion tenge and 198 km of vehicles have been repaired.
Over the past period, 5 tenders were held for the right to service regular inter-district, inter-regional routes, including 5 routes for 5 lots. According to the results of the competition for lot No. 2, an agreement was concluded on the organization of automobile transportation of passengers and luggage with the winner of the competition, and for the remaining 4 lots, the competition was declared invalid.
On January 9 of this year, daily flights on the Taldykorgan-Usharal-Taldykorgan route were resumed.
On March 3 of this year, the department held a fair of public services, during which residents of the regional center had the opportunity to get advice, as well as get answers to some questions about public services.
On March 6 of this year, a meeting on transport was held, where the issues of establishing a sanitary protection zone of the Taldykorgan airport, as well as the construction of a new bus station in the regional center were considered.
On March 9 of this year, a petition was sent to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan to subsidize the air route with the direction "Astana-Taldykorgan-Astana", they also addressed a letter to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the transfer of the artificial runway of the airport of Usharal to republican ownership.
On March 15 of this year, a working meeting was held in the department with the participation of interested state bodies, where issues of the development of the bus station of the regional center were discussed. Following the meeting, a number of joint proposals for its further development were developed.
On March 16 of this year, the department took part in a meeting held by the Almaty Department of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision of Transport on noise reduction at the airport of Taldykorgan.
On March 31 of this year, a meeting was held with the participation of the Civil Aviation Committee, during which issues were considered on the installation of a hinged waiting room at the airport in Usharal, as well as on the maintenance of aircraft by this airport at night.
In May of this year, daily flights on the routes "Almaty-Usharal-Almaty" and "Astana-Usharal-Astana" were resumed.
On May 18 of this year, a meeting on aviation security issues was held at the airports of Taldykorgan and Usharal of Alakol district.
On May 25 of this year, we took part in the event "Open Day" held by the branch of the AMANAT party, during which citizens' appeals on urgent issues were considered.
On May 30 this year, a seminar was held with the staff of the department on the topic "New edition of the Ethical Code of Civil Servants of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and the formation of an anti-corruption culture.
On June 2 of this year, the report of the head of the Department of Passenger Transport and Highways was heard at a meeting of the Public Council for Combating Corruption and the Development of Public Administration at the branch of the AMANAT party.
On June 20 of this year, a regulatory legal act was adopted "On determining the list of socially significant messages of the Zhetisu region", approved by the decision of the maslikhat of the region.
On July 17 of this year, we took part in the meetings of the Working Group on the development of proposals for making changes and additions to the Methodology for calculating tariffs and rules for subsidizing socially significant routes, and relevant proposals were developed.
On November 16 of this year, we participated in a meeting on some issues of the transport industry chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, following which appropriate instructions were given.
On November 21 this year, we participated in a meeting on the development of the railway industry under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, following which relevant instructions were given.
On December 5 of this year, we participated in a meeting on the development of freight transportation and transit under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, following which relevant instructions were given.
On December 12 of this year, we participated in a meeting on the development of water transport under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, following which relevant instructions were given.
On December 19 of this year, we participated in a meeting on the development of the aviation industry under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, following which relevant instructions were given.
Proposals have been made to the draft Roadmap for the modernization of airport infrastructure and the purchase of special equipment.
According to the results of 12 months of 2023 through the portal www.elicense.kz received 10 appeals, of which "Issuance of a permit for the placement of outdoor (visual) advertising on stationary advertising facilities in the right-of-way of public roads of regional and district significance" - 4, "Issuance of a license for the right to engage in activities for the irregular transportation of passengers by buses, minibuses in intercity inter-regional, inter-district (intercity inter-regional) in international traffic, as well as regular transportation of passengers by buses, minibuses in international traffic" – 5, "The subsidization of the carrier's losses related to the implementation of automobile passenger transportation on socially significant messages in inter-district (intercity intra-regional), intra-district, urban (rural) and suburban communications was withdrawn by the applicant" - 1.
Out of 10 requests for public services, 2 were satisfied.
During the reporting period, there were no complaints from service recipients about the quality of public services provided in the department.
All applications were considered within the framework of the Administrative Procedural Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
There were no appeals against the adopted administrative acts.
At the beginning of the year, according to the schedule of retraining and advanced training of civil servants for 2023, 2 heads of the department, as well as 2 chief specialists, refresher courses were held at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic
