1. General provisions
1. These Rules for organizing the state registration of civil status acts, making changes, restoring, and canceling civil status records (hereinafter – Rules) determine the procedure for organizing state registration of birth, death, marriage (matrimony), divorce (matrimony), adoption, establishment of paternity, change of name, patronymic, surname, making changes, additions and corrections, restoration, cancellation of civil status records, as well as the issuance of repeated certificates, certificates and copies of act records on civil status registration in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. State registration of acts of civil status is performed by registering bodies in electronic form through the information system "civil status Records".
3. Registration authorities perform the following actions:
1) make the state registration of birth, death, conclusion and dissolution of marriage( matrimony), adoption, establishment of paternity, change of name, patronymic, surname.;
2) change, Supplement, correct and cancel civil status records;
3) restore lost records;
4) issue primary and repeated certificates, certificates, copies of civil status records.
4. State registration of civil status acts in respect of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan permanently or temporarily residing outside the Republic of Kazakhstan shall be performed by foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the act records made by them shall be transferred to the territorial body of justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
When state registration of civil status acts in foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan is applied, if the interested persons are citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
