FROM THE PAGES OF HISTORY: 90 years of the newspaper "Zhetisu shugylasy"

On the eve of the anniversary, it's nice to sum up. Just think, our newspaper has turned 90 years old! The first issue was printed back in October 1930. And since then, the newspaper has been published, no matter what. And in the most difficult years of the war, supporting the spirit of the people, and in peacetime, rejoicing for the successes of the district, and in the incomprehensible 90s, when people did not receive wages for months.

On October 13, 1930, the first issue of the newspaper "Forward" was published – the organ of the Talda-Kurgan district committee and the district executive committee. On the first page were placed materials dedicated to the birth of another district newspaper in Semirechye. In 1932, the Taldy-Kurgan district newspaper was published under the name "Socialist Way", which was renamed "Kolkhoznik" on January 16, 1933. Since 1952 in the village . Karabulak published the district newspaper "Stalin's Way", since 1956 – "The Way to Communism". On the first of May 1962, the newspaper "Zarya Semirechye" was published, which thus traces its lineage from the newspaper "Forward". Since 1995, "Dawn of Semirechye" – "Zhetisu shugylasy" has been published only once a week.

The district newspaper has come a long way, changing its name, but invariably retaining rich content, reflecting the life of the Eskeldinsky district. Currently, it continues its best traditions, orients residents to the correct understanding of political issues.

While preparing for the 90th anniversary of the newspaper, I began to find interesting materials from veterans of journalism who once worked in it. From them we learned how our newspaper and its staff developed. From an old building, primitive equipment and a small staff – to modern working conditions. There are only memories of those times 20-30 years ago. In those years, the editorial office again, as in the old days, merged with the printing house – it is easier to survive together. In the first of 30 people there were four, in the second – out of 50 – 9. No transport, no modern equipment (everything was taken away by the restructuring), there was an unheated building and outdated decommissioned equipment. And they worked, alas, mostly with enthusiasm. For months they did not pay a salary, and if they received it, then most often in the form of a naturopayment: flour, grain, meat, butter, etc.

After a twenty-year break, Sabit Zhumabayevich Bibolov returned to the team, returned to lead it in a difficult post-perestroika time. The editorial office was in limbo at that time: hundreds of thousands of tenge were owed to it, and it could not pay for printing services, electricity. With his arrival, at least, but life began to improve. The work of Sabit Zhumabaevich was appreciated in the district, he was awarded diplomas and medals.

Truly, Dauylbai Kalkabekovich Dosymbekov was considered an "old-timer", infinitely devoted to his work in the team. 47 years is the length of his work in the editorial office of the district newspaper. You can say almost his entire conscious life. In it, he grew up as a journalist, having passed a thorny path from a literary worker and translator to a head. department and deputy . editor. Dauylbay Kalkabekovich has mastered all editorial specialties perfectly.

There were times when the newspaper was headed by F.I. Litvinov and a little by L.I. Sivenko. Along with perestroika came N.L. Yagur, who completely changed (in the spirit of the times) her face, making her more readable and popular. Then there were M.I. Davydovich, A.O. Alashbayev, K.Zh. Taigaraev for a little more than a year, whose leadership fell at the time of privatization and the development of market relations.

With the departure of these people, an entire era of local journalism ended, leaving its mark on the history of the newspaper.

One epoch is passing away, the next is coming. Life goes on, and the life of the district newspaper goes on.

Nowadays, the pace is increasing, because the flow of information is growing. Although this is what attracts, fascinates in the newspaper. You feel the pulse of time, and the main thing is that you are in the maelstrom of events. The newspaper is made by the mind and heart of people in love with it. The newspaper's editorial office is a friendly team, where everyone and everyone knows about each other, where there are common joys and troubles.

Now our friendly team is headed by Zhanakhmet Isabayev, while there are six of us – designer-layout designer Katipa Alimkhanova, accountant Galiya Kurmayeva and three journalists Zeynegul Zhumabekova, Akbota Oralbekova and Anastasia Ivanova (Trippel). No one knows what will happen next, perhaps there will be an expansion of the editorial office and its flourishing. After all, there were times when it employed about thirty people, and the newspaper was published three times a week.

Our editorial staff, congratulations on the anniversary of the newspaper "Zhetisu shugylasy" I wish you creative success, inexhaustible inspiration and long life.

We are 90! But we do not want to grow old, we will only gain wisdom and skill so that "Zhetisu shugylasy" lives and pleases our readers. And I'm sure: so it will be! Long life to you, dear "district"!
