In the village of Bastobe, Karatal district, Zhetysu region, a monument and a memorial "Dostyk" were opened on behalf of the South Korean public.

The event was attended by Consul General of South Korea in Kazakhstan Park Nechon, acting head of the Department of public development of Zhetysu region Bolat Kerimbek, akim of Karatal district Yerlan Isabekov.

For thirty years, economic, cultural and spiritual ties have been established between the two countries.

Speaking at the meeting, Park Nechon said: "on my own behalf and on behalf of the Korean state, I thank the people of Kazakhstan. We consider the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the city of Ushtobe, Karatal district, as a sacred and sacred region, our Golden Cradle.
